Video Analysis

Use the video list, filters, leaderboards, and detail score, chart, 48-hour velocity, rank, percentile, and SEO fields correctly.

Guides
On This Page

The Videos page lets you find and sort content from tracked channels, select videos for comparison, and evaluate one video in its channel context.

List — period, search, channel, format, sorting, and video selection.

Outcome, prerequisites, and path

  • Path: choose Videos in the main navigation; select a card for detail.
  • You need at least one tracked, synced channel.
  • The top period and channel selection define the List and Top result set. Video detail has a separate period selector.
  • Your plan determines available periods and comparison selections; the on-screen limit is authoritative.

Screen map

  1. List: filters, sorting, pagination, and selection.
  2. Top: leaders by views, likes, comments, and engagement.
  3. Compare: analysis of videos selected from List.
  4. Video detail header and summary metrics.
  5. Performance grade, daily chart, velocity, and engagement.
  6. Channel rank/percentile and SEO score.

List tab

ControlEffect
PeriodIncludes videos published in the selected window.
SearchSearches video titles; clear it when no result matches.
ChannelAll tracked channels or one channel. It may be hidden when only one exists.
All / Regular / ShortsFormat filter.
Date / Views / Likes / EngagementSort metric.
Descending / AscendingSort direction.
Previous / NextResult pages; changing a filter returns to page one.

A card shows thumbnail, duration/Shorts badge, title, channel, views, likes, comments, and publish age. Counts are current cumulative values; the period can control which videos qualify rather than truncating each total.

Comparison selection

The card checkbox adds a video to the bottom selection bar. The bar shows selected count, Clear, and Compare. At least two videos are required; the upper bound is your live plan's comparison limit. Do not infer it from a general counter on another page. Verify retained selections in the bar after filtering or paging.

Top tab

Top — leaders within the selected period and channel set.
ControlValue and unit
ViewsCumulative view count.
LikesCumulative like count.
CommentsCumulative comment count.
Engagement(likes + comments) ÷ views × 100, percent.

The first three appear on the podium and the rest in a ranked list. Period and channel filter define the cohort. An engagement leader need not be the views leader; distinguish counts from rates.

Video detail page

Video detail — header, performance score, period metrics, and channel context.

The header shows thumbnail, duration, Shorts badge, publish age, channel/handle, and Watch on YouTube. The selector can hide windows longer than the video's age; when a hint appears, use the product's valid period set.

Summary metrics and percentage language

CardScope
Views / Likes / CommentsCurrent cumulative count; change compares first and last snapshot in the selected detail period.
EngagementCurrent rate, percent.
Views/DayCumulative views divided by lifetime age; not last-24-hour velocity.

20% growth is relative to the starting value. If engagement moves from 4.0% to 5.0%, the difference is 1 percentage point, while relative growth is 25%. When the UI reports a difference versus channel average in points, do not call it percent growth.

Performance grade and subscores

The overall 0–100 score and A+–F grade are a product heuristic combining:

SubscoreInput
View PerformanceCurrent views relative to channel average.
EngagementVideo engagement rate relative to channel average.
VelocityAvailable 24/48-hour movement and trend.
SEOTitle, description, tag, and thumbnail subscores.

This is not a YouTube algorithm quality score. Formula and thresholds can change; read the raw metric with the subscore. A new or sparsely tracked video can have limited velocity evidence.

Daily performance chart

  • X-axis: date.
  • Left Y-axis / area: view count.
  • Right Y-axis / bars: like and comment counts.
  • Dashed reference: average views when enough days exist.
  • Tooltip: date, views, likes, and comments.

With fewer than two daily records, channel-average comparison replaces the chart. Missing days are not connected. Do not compare area and bar heights directly because they use different axes.

Video vs channel average

Each row shows video value and channel average. The middle marker is the average; the text ratio is video value ÷ channel average × 100. 150% means 1.5 times the average, not “150% more.” The channel average can mix ages and formats.

View velocity and 48-hour availability

FieldUnit / prerequisite
Last 24h / Last 48hView gain derived from eligible snapshots, count.
Daily RateViews/day normalized from observed hours.
TrendAccelerating/decelerating/stable when two comparable windows exist.

The card is hidden when all values are zero or unavailable. Use the tooltip and video age to separate no data from true zero. For a video younger than 48 hours, the 48-hour field is not a completed outcome.

Channel rank and percentile

In #rank / total videos, #1 is best. Views, likes, comments, and engagement have separate ranks. The displayed percentage follows rank ÷ total × 100; therefore a lower percentage means a better rank. A 0% or very small value is not a poor score. Always report percentage with rank and total.

SEO score

The 0–100 SEO score is a product heuristic using visible factors:

  • title length;
  • description presence/length;
  • tag count;
  • custom thumbnail use.

The card shows category, a subset of tags, and each factor's current ideal text. It does not guarantee search rank or views and does not measure topic demand, audience intent, title quality, or watch behavior.

States and troubleshooting

StateAction
List loadingWait for the skeleton before selecting.
No resultsClear or widen search, channel, format, and period filters.
ErrorRefresh; retry later if it persists.
Detail missing/inaccessibleConfirm the video belongs to an active tracked channel.
No chartWait for at least two snapshots; use channel comparison meanwhile.
No velocityCheck video age and 24/48-hour snapshot availability.
Compare disabledSelect at least two and no more than the live plan limit.

Practice — Coğrafyanın Kodları

Verified July 17, 2026.

  1. In Videos → List, select Coğrafyanın Kodları and record period, Regular/Shorts, and sort direction.
  2. Sort the same set by Views and Engagement; explain why leaders can differ.
  3. Select two videos, record the live plan limit in the selection bar, and keep them selected.
  4. In one detail page, explain cumulative views, period change, and views/day with three distinct units/scopes.
  5. Validate the strongest and weakest performance subscores against raw metrics.
  6. Read channel rank, total videos, and percentile together; explain why lower percent is better here.
  7. Turn one SEO subscore into an improvement hypothesis, not an outcome guarantee.

Interpretation limits

  • A period filter can select the cohort without truncating cumulative card values.
  • Comparing videos with very different ages or formats by raw totals is not fair.
  • Grade, SEO, and percentile are product definitions, not official YouTube quality signals.
  • Private YouTube Studio traffic-source and retention data is not present.
