Channel Analysis
Read one channel's period growth, lifetime totals, performance charts, videos, and daily changes without confusing scope or units.
Guides
On This Page
The channel detail Overview helps you separate a channel's current size from movement during the selected period. This guide shows how to combine cards, charts, and the daily table into a bounded decision.
Outcome, prerequisites, and path
- Path: Channels → a channel card → Overview.
- The channel must be tracked and have at least one successful sync.
- Period comparisons and lines need at least two dated channel-stat records. With one record, current totals may appear while period change remains unavailable.
- Period options depend on your plan. Use the enabled options on screen instead of assuming a fixed plan limit.
Screen map

Channel header and summary cards
The header shows the channel name, handle, rank within your tracked set, period-growth indicator, Compare, and Open on YouTube. The rank is not a global YouTube rank.
| Card | Unit and scope | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Subscribers | Current lifetime subscriber total; period change below | The total describes size; the percentage compares the first and last record in the period. |
| Views | Current cumulative views; period change below | Do not confuse the cumulative total with views gained during the period. |
| Videos | Current lifetime video count | This inventory is not limited to the selected period. |
| Recent Videos | Videos found in the selected period | Zero does not mean the channel has never published. |
Sparklines show the direction of dated totals. If the first value is zero or fewer than two records exist, do not interpret 0% as confirmed stability without checking the data window.
Growth analysis
This card summarizes the first and last channel records plus daily changes in the selected period.
| Metric | Definition |
|---|---|
| Subscribers Gained / Net Change | Last subscriber total minus first; it can be negative. |
| Views Gained | Last cumulative view total minus first. |
| Daily Average | Period gain distributed across available dated records; missing calendar days are not full observations. |
| Best / Worst Day | Highest and lowest observed daily subscriber change. |
| Positive / Negative Days | Records with subscriber change above or below zero. Zero and missing changes belong to neither group. |
On the daily subscriber chart, the x-axis is date and the y-axis is observed subscriber change. Values above zero are gains; values below zero are losses. Hover for the date and raw change. The health badge is the product's current classification, not a causal diagnosis or forecast.
Performance chart
| Control | Effect |
|---|---|
| Subscribers / Views | Changes the metric being charted. |
| Change | Percentage change from the period's first record; the tooltip also shows raw change. |
| Total | Cumulative subscriber or view count. |
| 7-day moving average | Toggles the dashed smoothing line. |
- X-axis: date.
- Y-axis: percentage in Change mode; subscriber or view count in Total mode.
- Main series: area line for the selected metric.
- Legend: dashed line is the 7-day moving average; dots mark upload dates.
- Tooltip: date, selected value, raw change when relevant, subscriber/view totals, moving average, and videos published that day.
The zero line makes negative movement visible. The moving average does not invent missing days and reacts later than the daily line. A rise after an upload marker is an association, not proof that the upload caused the rise.
Video performance analysis
This section includes only videos published during the selected period.
| Metric | Definition and unit |
|---|---|
| Avg. Views / Likes / Comments | Arithmetic mean count per period video. |
| Engagement Rate | Total likes plus comments divided by total views for the period-video set, as a percentage. Zero views produce a zero rate. |
| Shorts / Regular Videos | Count, share, and average views for each format. |
| Best Video | Highest-viewed video in this period set, not necessarily the lifetime leader. |
| Average Duration | Average duration of regular videos; hidden when none qualify. |
Interpret format averages only with adequate sample counts. One large result can dominate a small group.
Period videos
Cards show title, format, publish age, views, likes, and comments. Sort by Views, Likes, Comments, or Engagement in descending order. A podium appears when enough videos qualify; remaining videos are paginated. An empty state means no qualifying video in this period, not an empty channel.
Daily performance table
The table uses a fixed short-period context and displays the newest available records.
| Column | Unit |
|---|---|
| Date | Localized day and month. |
| Subscribers / Views | Cumulative total at that record. |
| Change | Raw count from the previous record; + is gain, - is loss, and zero or missing is —. |
A missing calendar day is not zero performance. For a spike, check the upload marker, sync interval, and availability of the prior record.
States and troubleshooting
| State | What to do |
|---|---|
| Loading | Wait for the skeleton to finish before comparing values. |
| Channel not found / no data | Confirm the channel is active and tracked; refresh after sync completes. |
| Error | Use Retry; if it persists, try again later. |
| Empty chart | Wait for at least two dated channel records or widen the period. |
| No period videos | Widen the period and distinguish recent videos from lifetime video count. |
| Locked period or feature | The on-screen plan message is authoritative; do not assume a fixed limit. |
Practice — Coğrafyanın Kodları
Verified July 17, 2026. Learn the reading method rather than memorizing values:
- Open Channels → Coğrafyanın Kodları → Overview and record the selected period.
- Write separate sentences for the current Subscriber/View totals and their period changes.
- Read one metric in Change, then Total mode; record one date and raw change from the tooltip.
- Toggle the moving average and explain why the daily and smoothed lines answer different questions.
- Match one upload marker to the period-video list. Say “observed on the same date,” not “caused.”
- Find a negative or
—cell in the daily table and distinguish loss, zero, and missing data.
Interpretation limits
- YTScope uses synced public YouTube data; it does not expose private traffic, revenue, or unsubscribe reasons from YouTube Studio.
- Do not directly compare different periods, formats, or channel sizes.
- Averages are sensitive to small samples and unusually large videos.
- Validate AI commentary against the data scope, period, and tooltip values.
